A visit hosted by an Emberá community
The day brings together travel in a traditional wooden canoe, a cultural presentation and an introduction to the community’s traditions and relationship with the surrounding environment. Your hosts lead the cultural exchange. Arrive with curiosity and respect, and ask before taking photographs of people.
Rainforest, canoe travel and a waterfall
The experience includes a canoe journey and a walk toward a waterfall when local conditions allow. The route and walking conditions are coordinated with the hosts. Let us know about mobility needs or concerns about boarding a canoe so we can discuss whether the proposed outing suits your group.
Lunch and the essential costs included
Your tour includes private transportation, guided coordination, protected-area fees, village admission, boat transportation and lunch. Tell us about allergies or dietary needs before the visit so we can coordinate them with the community.
Planning your day from Panama City
Allow around seven hours for the experience. The initial road transfer is approximately 50 minutes from the city and is followed by the onward canoe journey; it is not the total travel time. Pickup is coordinated between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m., with the final route and timing confirmed for your date.
